Thanks, Lee, for all the pics and info. Very interesting. We agree that the Chesapeake is, in fact, just a little bit of heaven, but there is a little story that we in the Shenandoah Valley like to tell to visitors. Just wanted to pass it on to everyone.

Seems that a young man decided to write a book about churches of every kind in America. He traveled far and wide, visiting churches all over the US, and interviewing pastors, ministers, priests, and laymen. In just about every one, he saw a golden telephone on the wall, with a little sign indicating that this was a direct line to the Lord Himself. Cost was $10,000 per call in every case. Finally he arrived at a little country church here in the Valley, and the same telephone was on the wall, but the cost was only fifty cents. He asked the pastor why the call was so inexpensive here, while so very costly elsewhere. The pastor replied "Son, that's because it's only a local call from here".

Pictures bring back memories. Unfortunately most of them had me going broke and hungry. I used to crab pot in Pamlico sound in Bay and Neuse river. Got a chance for a tugboat job back in the 90's and been doing that ever since. Worked two summers in high school in a crabhouse unloading boats and steaming them and then loading trucks with the end result. Everything we picked went to D C and Baltimore.

I bet we know a lot of the same people. I work with a lot of Parks, Crockett, Pruit, and Pruitt's from Tangier and Onancock to Exmore area. A couple of Marshalls and Marsh as well.
