So is half the stuff on the internet but that does not stop folks from believing it.

According to what you read, the trip actually happened but John Steinbeck WAS a novelist and likely embellished it.

Thanks for the link, clutch. That was a good read. Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors. A man with common sense; a term we don't hear anymore.
