Aerospace 303

I just saw this product mentioned on another thread.

Can any of you folks tell me if you use this, and if so:

1. Which type and,

2. How you apply it (lightly spray on, drench, etc.)

I saturate everything in 303 (exterior walls, decals, seams, seals, caulk, aluminum, rubber, plastic . . .).

AeroSpace - I order it in 640z jug and put it in a heavy duty bottle sprayer.

According to the product spec, it's also good for birth control?

It's available at many auto and rv supplies.

I use it in place of Armor All for the plastic and vinyl parts inside my vehicles. Works great and it doesn't leave a residue like Armor All does. I've been known to use it on all manner of plastic parts on all of my "toys".

I bought a gallon size jug of the 303 UV protectant and have been applying it to decals, tires, anything rubber/vinyl/plastic on the outside of the trailer, plus using it in same materials in our vehicles. But I just started a couple months ago (got the trailer new in Feb.), so will have to let you know how good it is in about 5 years.

Thanks, GL, but I'm not gonna wait that long!

So maybe we can both report back in about 5 years, then.

Or is there anyone out there who has used it for 5+ years and can report to us now? E.g., did it preserve decals well? Or maybe it takes more like 10 years for those to fade without 303 or similar . . .

A lot of this stuff has to just rely on a hope and a prayer, I'm thinking.

Same here, great stuff. Also use it on the TT especially on the front fiberglass cap to inhibit fading.

I tried using this on the sidewalls and got nothing but smearing.
Is there a trick?
I use it on a lot of other stuff like tires, trim on trailer, cars, trucks.
Cheers

I have been using 3O3 on my poly kayaks for 10 years with great results. I have used it on the roof and tires on our travel trailer for four years with similar results

You mean on the painted exterior walls? I don't believe it's intended to be applied to painted surfaces. I don't think it hurts them, but it's supposed to be wiped off as it does not dry, so likely will cause the problem you're describing.

Only problem I found using it on my kayak is that my feet slip slide around. It does slide in and out of the truck easier which at times makes it a little harder to load than usual.

Sounds like awesome stuff, sort of like Windex in that movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Yes, I tried a small area on exterior gel-coat (not full body paint) and got streaking. I have seen many comments such as this one from FeatherFam which leads me to believe its working for some people.
Cheers
