All boat owners please report

Do you own any boats? If so let`s hear about `em weather they are an 8' dinghy, or a 1000 ft ocean liner!

I have a 2006 23' C-Hawk custom built for commercial fishing with a 115 HP 4 stroke Yamaha outboard motor, currently 3822 hrs on the clock. This is now my everyday work boat.

Also a 1980 Privateer 20' boat built for commercial fishing with a 90 HP Yamaha 2 stroke outboard motor with around 5000 hrs on the motor. I bought this one new right out of high school and used it hard for 25 yrs until I ordered the new one 5 yrs ago. Still use it for ferry duty and as a backup. Still solid as a rock.

Both boats were built in North Carolina.

A 10' Intex 4 inflatable boat with a Minnkota trolling motor, just got this one last Spring for exploring rivers and such while camping, I can deflate it and store it in the truck while traveling.

Ahhh, boats......I've been on board boats of many descriptions since before I could walk, mostly on Lake Huron, one of the great lakes. During the 1980's my passion was an 18 foot catamaran sailboat. I have to say, I'm partial to sailboats. Something about harnessing the wind.....the stronger it blows, the more power you have to cut through the waves.....to a point. Nothing like trapezing over the side when it's blowing 30 knots! I have sailed that catamaran on all 5 of the great lakes, often times in a regatta (racing) which I've been known to bring home a trophy from time to time. Sadly, I'm down to just a 16 foot canoe right now, but it brings its' own pleasures.

We have a 12ft Weld aluminum boat with a wide bottom and deep sides. Power by 8hp Honda and Minkota electric. Hopefully the little Honda will grow up next summer and become a 15 or 20 horse motor with forward controlls.

Here's a small taste of catamaran racing. Makes me want to buy another boat!

Wife says only one toy at a time. I sold my 21 foot cuddy cabin to get my fiver. I can only tow one or the other, Florida does not allow double towing like they do out West.

As much as I cherish the fun I had sailing the 18 foot catamaran, those days are likely over. I now only crew for a friend from time to time. Here is some background info, for those who are wondering. The catamaran purchase price was $6,500 new, never had to buy any gas for it, almost zero maintanace cost, and when I sold it twelve years later, easily got $4,800 for it. The least expensive fun I've ever had. For towing, if a person wanted to, the catamaran hulls easily come apart to carry roof-top like a canoe, and the mast would lay along side the hulls, or along the RV roof. I've seen it done, but not tried it myself. Sailing regattas are a combination of camping and sailing, a good social weekend. We are spoiled here, being so close to the great lakes.

I have a 2007 Lund Pro Sport 1700 with a 115HP Merc 2-stoke and a 8HP Yamaha 4 stroke Kicker, and a 85 Lb electric troller on the front, dual fish finders, dual live wells. The ride of a Lund boat is hard to beat. The ITS hull design allows you to cut through the waves at a very fast clip. Great fishing boat and you can still ski with it.
