Am I to be banished as a traitor?

After much consideration the DW and I decided to look into trading our Swift SLX 184BH for a Starcraft Launch 19BHS. Don't get me wrong we have loved our Jayco and really have no complaints. Its been very good to us. However, our last trip we were talking about the little things that we liked and disliked about it. The biggest thing for us was that we don't like losing the dinette each night for a bed and the DW wanted more room for toiletries in the bathroom. Its just enough of a nuisance that we decided to see what else was out there. We really like the small trailers and didn't want to turn this into a new TV purchase. We spent the winter looking at several different models and floorplans. The only floorplan that we have both liked so far is the Starcraft Launch 19BHS. We also like some of the little conveniences it has (power awning, rooftop AC, larger black/grey tanks and frameless tinted windows). We plan on visiting the local dealer this week to see what kind of deal they are willing to make. At least Starcraft is part of the overall parent company with Jayco and now carries the same warranty. We'll see what happens.

Why would you be banished? A camper is a camper. You are always welcome here. You have to do what is best for you.

Shhh!!!we have to keep trades quite because I still like this forum and like to follow everyone and their ideas, thoughts, and mods......we decided last Oct to let our 2014 Jayco Whitehawk 30DSQB bunkhouse go because it just didn't fit the DW and my needs....wanted a 5th wheel...wanted an Eagle!!!!...just too much weight.....I had already owned three TV during the year.....couldn't trade trucks again.....so, we traded for a 2014 Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback 33RL with our dealer who handled both Jayco and Forest River products.....nothing wrong with the Whitehawk, just didn't fit.....btw, am I allowed to change my signature to show the trade????LOL!!

UPDATE: We went to the dealer to work something out on the Starcraft. While there my DW decided to browse the lot again and fell in love with a 2015 Jayco Jay Feather 213 Front Bunks Rear King Bed Slideout. Don't know how we missed it during our winter search. Its very similar to the Starcraft 19BHS but better equipped and a tad roomier. She says its the 19BHS on steroids. Sooo, we are now waiting for the dealer to give us the numbers on the Jayco so we can compare the two and make a decision.

I don't see a reason for banishment. Truth be told when you look at the big picture, there are only "so many" different floor plans out there. Regardless of the manufacturer, you will find the same floor plan with only minor differences. When it comes down to it, the amenities and accessories are all made by the same people, (Thetford, Dometic, Atwood, Coleman etc.).
With that said, you go with whatever fits your life and your family. Stay here and enjoy the company and ideas and keep having fun. (Though, if you end up with a brand other than Jayco, some of us might not be able to resist and occasional pun/jab.... lol).

We've had a StarCraft 235fb since 2011 and have found and provided lots of info on this forum. The 235 fb is an exact twin to the Jayco 23fb and for a time the two were even made on the same assembly line when StarCraft shut down its line during the recession.
