Some do , I was behind a car yesterday that used his left turn signal for 10 miles before turning right . Does that count?

I always use them especially when pulling the trailer. I do agree sometimes it seems like they crowd you when you put your blinker on while pulling the trailer.

Hence, if I have room I start to accelerate and put the turn signal on while accelerating. I give up on cell phone users.

I agree with the fact that turn signals seem to have become the signal for people behind you in an adjacent lane to speed up. You have to bluff a little now days to change lanes.

Where I live, the cops look for a reason to write a ticket and non-signal use is a the top of the list. I always use mine just so I won't become part of some dirtbag's monthly quota.

I hate getting tickets as much as the next guy, so I try not to give the police a reason to stop me. Having said that, where we are, most of us respect them since they are the only ones allowed to be armed, and are the ones to rush into the danger when someone is actively hunting innocent people. I would be terribly angry if I got a ticket for not signalling from a traffic officer hiding somewhere when there is no traffic for me to signal for ( but it would still be my fault ). Now and then I won't signal, because there is no traffic around me to signal for ( without the TT), and the DW will give me heck for it. And yet she is the one who gets red light tickets in the mail, because of the traffic cameras. I always signal towing the TT.

Go easy on the police name calling. I'm a rule follower by nature...so I use my signals for everything...even into my driveway on our side street. And being a rule follower....I'm cursed with being upset when others don't use them.
