New Year
My momma told me 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.' So I won't.

As for the RVing life, I foresee campgrounds even more crowded than they are now as a result of recent record RV sales -- weekdays at campgrounds will have more activity and weekends will be impossible, essentially. I'm also saddened by the number of campgrounds I discovered on campgroundreviews.com that receive poor ratings; that makes getting spots in good parks even more chancy. But I'm also gladdened to have come across several reviews noting some parks that were eyesores now have new owners who have been working on improvements. There definitely is and will be a market for clean, friendly and safe RV campgrounds.
Overall, I'm hoping for the best...

You need one more choice in the poll: "No!".

Interesting, looking at locations and answers, how we all see the country differently. From all reports this will be another record setting travel year, with the overall "optimism" poll showing more people have a positive feeling about their personal financial situation.
But, as with most things, our personal attitude is as, or more, important than the collective.
Happy Camping ! Long as I'm vertical it's a great day/year..

Two great posts.
There is a book I read a while back called "Happiness is a choice."
And it is so true. People who look to other people and things to make them happy or fulfill their optimism will only be disappointed. Make your own way, make your own choices and be happy with those choices. Things don't just happen. They take work and planning.
There are so many that go through life just letting it wash over them and carry them in whatever direction it will. There are others who have goals, set priorities and make them into realities, regardless of externalities.
In spite of whatever is happening around you and whether you like it or not, you alone are responsible for yourself and your well-being. If you want flowers and flowers make you happy - then plant flowers!
