About 450 days to go. I will retire from work at 66 although I have been asked to work on or at least work part time.

Yea, I've been asked to come in 2 days a week for a while, at least until my replacement knows the ropes. Am still considering, but will be on MY terms if I decide yes. In other words, I won't be coming in on snow days, rainy days, camping days, or days I just don't feel like coming in. If they're willing to accept these conditions, I might do it just to get some of my camping trips paid for.

Crabman - I really can't tell you what it feels like yet, as my DW is currently intercepting the checks, at least until her kitchen facelift is completed. Sorry you can't make the VA Campers rally, but I understand why. I still look forward to meeting you in person someday, maybe at the next fall rally.

Well tin.. one of the first questions you will be asking yourself (if you have not already) is "How did I ever find time to work?" Being retired is a FULL TIME job..

Seann - I am already beginning to understand the truth of that statement. Not only the Honey Doo list, but friends are already assuming I have nothing to do, and asking if I could just come over and help . . . . only for a few minutes. But I'll go on over, cause that's what friends are for !
