We usually visit our son and his family 2-3 times a year. His house only has two bedrooms and they have three children. So if it's warm enough, he opens our old pop-up and we sleep in there or we being the trailer with us, park it in his yard and sleep in there. Either way, I don't view this as camping- just a third bedroom.

Thumbs up

We have done 14 cruises so far and have seen almost 30 countries as a result of traveling by some means. Years ago, we took some bus tours of Europe/UK. We have only been through North America, the Caribbean, Baltic, and Europe. We get to do an Eastern Europe train tour and a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean this Fall.

We love to travel; have a loooooong "bucket" list, and hope to see much more of this world before we leave it! (I should mention we have camped/visited through ALL of the 50 United States also

We like to do the cruise thing and have been on a few, but my last cruise on Carnival soured us up to now due to noise, excessive drinking etc. I now know what they mean by the "Fun Ship" except it's not my kind of fun. I'm also not a fan of organized tours as I like to do my own thing on my own time. I guess I'm just a stick in the mud!!

We go to The Bahamas or Jamaica every year. We always stay at all inclusive resorts so we don't have to worry about carrying cash.
Just got back from Montego Bay, Jamaica a couple weeks ago. Sure didn't want to leave. Now all we think about is going camping and our next trip to Chincoteague Island next month. We'll be camping about every two weeks until late fall.

I know whatcha mean. We avoid shorter 3-4 Carnival cruises like the plague as they tend to have lots of drunk people "enjoying" a long weekend

Have you heard of CruiseCritic.com? Great forum with so much member provided info on any upcoming or past cruise, that you can read for weeks! What's nice is you can learn about the port you will visit and find out how to tour (what to see, how to get there, what to avoid, etc) so you don't have to do a ship tour (which are over-priced) or can help you find reputable tour guides who will take you where you wish to go in port. This upcoming cruise, we are putting together our own itenarary at each port, and are hiring a guide at two of them

Our Eastern Euro train trip will take us through Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Macedonia, ending in Athens where we will catch our cruise. We are doing that on our own with overnight stops in four cities along the way.

Actually Sallie and I spend a lot of time in our Rhino side x side. Over 3,000 miles in the desert this winter.

I may some year go on a cruise but right now I would rather be in my RV than anything else.
