Question Best Camping Chairs (Foldable)

Hi All,
Looking for recommendations on the best camping chairs. You know, the foldable kind that can be stored and carried easily. I'm in the market for 6 new chairs to outfit our rig/campsite setup. I want something that will last...and also comfortable. I've heard that the Zero-gravity chairs are good, but looking for some recommendations. Pics and links would be welcomed. Thanks all!!!

I am personally a big fan of the Helinox chairs. Not your typical chair by any means, but they are so comfy and light and small ...

Do these Helinox chairs rock? I checked them out on their web site and its amazing how small they pack up. 6 chairs would barely take up the space of one zero gravity chair.

Wouldn't buy one of those

These are the two main reasons

Armrests: no
Cup Holder: no

Our folding chairs are TALL ( easy to get in and out ) and have a table with cup holder on one side and a built in cooler on the other side. That way I don't have to get up to grab a cold beer.

I sure like how small those chairs fold to, but I don't know if I would spend that much ( $100 locally ) and I think I would miss having somewhere to put my beverage.

I've been down the camping chair road many times and I've come to a conclusion...if it folds into a rather small package it won't last. If it folds into a large package and weighs a ton, it will last. I use the directors's style chairs with the fold out side table from Gander Mountain, Picnic Time and Harbor Freight. Big, bulky and heavy is the way to go...there is no engineering substitute for sheer mass.

I have good luck with the Camping world line of folding chairs that come with carry cases. The only problem we have with ours is it seems like everytime we pull one out of the carry case a nut is missing somewhere. Can never find it haha...

I have finally used jam nuts on the ones that keep running off on me... We have four CW folding chairs with carry cases...

We really like these chairs. Have used them for two years and they are sturdy and comfortable. The attached folding side table is very handy.

RE: Helinox chairs.

A. They do not rock. They are very solid - 320 pounds or so of capacity.
B. Drink holders aren't really needed since they sit closer to the ground. Just plop your beer right next to you and you're good to go.
C. W/ CCC so limited in my X17Z, having 4 chairs that weigh less than 1 decent 'typical/standard' chair is just a huge bonus
D. Aside from camping, I can take these to the fields when my kids are playing sports w/ no fuss at all. I love getting multiple use scenarios out of my gear

*************
If I had a larger trailer I would consider a strongback chair. Those are nice and comfy too; but 1 weighs about what 4 Helinox chairs weigh.

The best chairs are the ones you are most comfortable in and is most convenient to carry and use. We bought a couple of decent quality "director" style chairs a few years ago because they have the table and cup holders. They are nice, but not nearly as comfortable as my cheap MAC Sport "Big Boy" chair. What I'm saying is that when looking at chairs, sit in them and try to get a feel for sitting in them for long periods. You might be surprised that some of the expensive brand name chairs aren't really all that great.

ok, I bought some heavy duty chairs that are comfortable and have some storage. I used them this weekend at the campsite and they are basically....perfect.
