You couldn't have said it better Seann! Also, she had the strap attached. I've seen so many kids that just put the helmet on their head with the straps hanging....

Thanks all. She missed the first day of school because of the accident, but went yesterday. She found it difficult to write with wearing that temporary splint that covers over her fingers as well... makes it hard to take notes. But she did like the positive attention it brought and the support of her new teachers

Wow! I'm so glad she is okay!! Smart little girl (and parents!). Although we never wore them as kids, my hubby & me have made it a priority with our children. They balked about wearing them, but we told them that we would also wear them. We go bike riding at our local county park usually weekly and the trail has steep hills & curves and just makes me feel better as a mom.

there was a good wipe out at Shawme Crowell State Park on Saturday August 25. the 30ish year old fella had some good road rash. the medics were putting banages on the wrist and arm good thing he was wearing his helmet could have been worst. ya just never know
