Campgroung Neighbor Story.
I’m camped at Hueston Woods SP, which is just-down-the-road from Miami University. On the other side of Miami U is Hamilton, OH (thereabouts). Yesterday we watched an “older” couple drive in and set up a PUP near us. Last night, I talked to the husband and learned he was 82 years old, had 8 kids, was retired from Miami U after working an administrative position there for over 30 years, and they were from Hamilton.
I reacted favorably to his “8 kids” part of the story and congratulated him. He told me that one of his supervisors at the university once asked him how he managed to have 8 kids. He told the supervisor that most people living in his neighborhood worked at the GM plant, and could afford to go out and find entertainment when they weren’t working. The university doesn’t pay us enough to do that, so I have to stay home and find entertainment there.
Edit: There is something special about a couple in their 80's camped out in a PUP.
