Fishing, drinking, hiking\exploring\wondering, drinking, tending camp fire, drinking, cooking dinner over camp fire, drinking, eating my finely grilled cuisine, drinking, enjoying a fine cigar over the campfire, drinking, and finally relaxing for the evening enjoying an adult beverage.

I enjoy walking with a YETI full of hot coffee first thing in the morning looking at other RVs and trucks.
We like to find good places to eat that we normally don't have around home.

Next, about 90 min in, things settle down and we pour a couple drinks light a fire and decompress.

The next day(s) are generally spent hiking, kayaking, biking and just generally relaxing.

On get away day we typically have another argument with the kids about helping break down and cleaning up the ever annoying kids trash that always makes it on the ground...you know box drink straw wrappers, pop tabs and that inevitable little shred of a Hershey wrapper from smore's the night before.

And finally as we are cleaning up the trailer after getting home we question our commitment to camping over hotel/resort type vacations where there is someone to do everything for you...and then we laugh because we LOVE CAMPING.

Cheers!

Campfire! I can sit and watch it for hours...always camping with the kids so watch them run and we tend to find places with a pool or lake so we are in the water a lot.

Lots of BS’n around the fire, playing jokes on one another and riding lots of riding. We have a group from all over the PNW and Canada that we dune and ride the desert with. Sometimes it doesn’t always go as planned...but as long as nobody is hurt, it’s all part of the fun.

Canoe day trips, biking, birding.. We are fortunate in that the campground we will stay at for a week this summer will house our trailer for two weeks while we travel over 120 miles by canoe. And obviously not the trailer.
For free.
Nice folks at Sebomook Wilderness Campground.

I saw a shirt the other day that I am going to get for this season. “I apologize for everything I said while backing up the trailer” yes, hubby and I too love camping.

I could write a book on this, should. I'm not nearly as red-neck as that post sounds, but that's what I do lol.
What's wrong with red-neck? I live among many, many of them, and they're pretty good people, if a little opinionated.

As for my leisure activities? Keeping the fire going, walking Max, lazing around, napping, cooking, reading, playing cards or word game, if wifi available word games online otherwise not. Yes I take my computer, but use it only on really rainy days or at night. Oh star watching, moon watching...

Over the years, DW and I got to be pretty proficient at putting our trailer where we wanted it without much "marital discourse".

But now with the Motorhome, it's so incredibly easy! The only thing I need help with is how far back to go in the site, and even that's not strictly necessary. Since I have a backup camera, I could just throw down a marker where I want the rear bumper to be and do it that way!

It's almost TOO easy. First time we were out in the new rig, DW hopped out, stopped me at the right spot, and I threw the trans in park, set the brake and hopped out, all told the whole process took about 30 seconds. She says "that's it?" and I said "yup!" We both just kind of looked at eachother, looked around, then went on about the rest of the setup. It was quite comical!

Isn't funny how the co-driver always get blamed for the responsibility of the "Driver"

Just recently I noticed my close neighbor and his wife try to get a 28 ft TT out their driveway. Hands, heads and lips where moving quiet a bit. After 15 minutes I went over to see what the problem was. OK he had only 4" from is balcony. A week before he backed the TT back on that spot. The Truck and TT where in a straight line. So I told him (the driver) what goes in can come out and don't turn your front wheels before you're TT wheels are past the balcony. Well way he went. After I'm sure......"sorry" got explored again.

It is fun watching earthly species on campsites or in a mall.......or visit a lock what hold 30 or more pleasure boots. The one who stands on the front of the boat always get the blame. We just have to imagine that invisible mirror more often.

My Absolute perfect day camping would include:

6am to 9am Fly fishing for Salmon on a Beach or River
9am-10am - Cooking a big Breakfast for the Family
10am -Noon - Playing with the kids (Park, Bikes, Pool etc...)
noon- Lunch
1-2pm - Nap or read a book
2-4pm - Play with kids
4-6pm - Cook a nice dinner with outdoor kitchen
6-8- Fly Fish for Salmon
9-11pm - Enjoy a fire and a few glasses of good whiskey.

as you may of guessed, Fly Fishing, outdoor cooking, and quality family time are my favorite camping hobbies.
