Please be careful. Nice you can be home for Christmas.
I thought about you last week. A family pulled in with an Inferno - 43' and 2600 lb pin.

THanks for the well wishes! 43' toyhauler??? NOpe but the 5er I delivered yesterday was 39' 1" 12,236 lbs empty.
Home yesterday after a short little 8200 KMS trip. I'll get some pics up asap. BE careful on the roads out there, seems to be a lot of idiot drivers already this winter.

They were SERIOUS Harley people. It was "garage" almost to the rear axle (3 axles).

Took a third one of these to Brandon, Manitoba. 2014 Heartland RV Prowler P289 Unloaded weight approx. 8500 Lbs, 30'0" in length. Heartland does not have all the specs on their site for some reason. Towed decent even in the snow I encountered.

Then a 2014 Coachman Chaparral Brookstone 355 RL. Nice higher end 5er. Towed really well just like all the heavy 5ers do. Give me one of these anyday especially in the snow. A bumper pull in the snow just pushes the truck around, the 5er will pivot over the truck axle and not really affect the truck with every little fishtail of the trailer.
Pin weigth 2330 lbs
shipping weight 12, 239 lbs according to invoice
length 38'1" according to invoice

The day I left for this trip I put 6 new Firestone TransForce ATs on and they perform very well in the snow. 8500 ish KMS on them now.

Moved 5 of these Crossroads Hampton park models to our storage yard then hooked onto my last trailer for 2013! Of course it was a park model....
2014 Crossroads Hampton HT380FD
shipping weight was 19, 929 lbs and 40'10" in length
saw a lot of freezing rain in Michigan and lost count of the cars in the ditch. Glad they stayed out of my way ha ha!
Took a pic of the park models at the Crossroads yard. Keep in mind this is one of 3 yards and in these pics they are parked 2 deep. One pic is done in panoramic on my cell phone so not sure how it will turn out.

Oh and another park model. These are way to popular here on the east coast. Getting tired of towing them back here lol. Towed through some miserable conditions this trip. Left Indiana Sunday morning. Snowed from Fremont, IN almost to Toronto, Ontario. Freezing rain from Toronto to Quebec. Poured rain and winds from Quebec to Moncton, New Brunswick where I delivered. Second pic gives you an idea of where the amazing fuel economy comes from.
2014 Crossroads Hampton 380FK
Dry Weight: 10608
GVWR: 13530
Carrying Capacity: 2922
Hitch Weight: 1530
Axle Weight: 9078
Exterior Length: 40'11"
Exterior Height (with A/C): 12'8"

notice the roof line?

It's beyond me why they shape the roof like that. To me it serves no purpose even siting still.

I think the only purpose is to increase drag and mount those mood lights lol.

Packing up and hitting the road this am destination Brandon, Manitoba. Looks like the weather is improving out that way.

Yeah that front does not exactly resemble the nose of a Concord jet.

I enjoy the driving...thats the easy part. Being away 2 weeks sometimes takes its toll on you. You can make money at this but you need to be diligent with your expenses. I anticipate another year or so doing this before I move on to sonethubg else. Im only 38 and have not figured out what I want to do when I grow up yet lol!

Don`t try commercial fishing either, there`s gotta be an easier way. That`s what my oldest son told me when he was working with me several years ago. Now he`s now a computer tech guy, he found a better way......

i just read the whole thread and it got me thinking about doing something like this, i would have to buy a bigger truck but i already drive for a living and i am sick of dealing with the company that i sub contract to

other then the clean driving record and HD truck what else do you need? do you own your own business and sub contract or are you just an employee?
now as far as money goes i know you wont get rich but is it safe to say you make approx 50 a year ( i dont need exact or expect you to give it) i am just looking for a change of scenery and i currently drive 100000 kms a year as it is, and i noticed that you said there was a big dealer in ontario that does alot of business i was wondering what dealer that was seeing is i live in the toronto area

You are Canadian I take it? If so it's pretty simple. Register your business, get a GST number and you are good to go. That is after you ensure you have the truck, equipment, license, etc. Personally I am my own company and I lease to another company. They secure all the work. As far as gross income it depends on how many miles you log a year. I logged around 235, 000 kms (approx.) in 2013 and grossed 6 figures, I could have easily made 25% more if I ran harder. It's not what you make it's what you keep in your pocket in this business!!! Expenses pass 50% of gross easily. Not sure on Ontario dealerships, we only deliver out west and the maritimes. Send me a pm if you want and I can give you some more pointers.
