Costco Diesel

Costco recently started selling Diesel in my neck of the woods--far and away the best deal in town.

Today Diesel ranged 2.84-3.42 around here, Costco's price $2.59.

It's also worth pointing out that for the better part of 6 months diesel has been cheaper than reg unleaded around here. Per Gas Buddy reg unleaded range is $2.89 - $3.49, even Costco is $2.89.

Just thought I would share. For those of you in a less socialist state that doesn't soak its citizens in fuel taxes, the prices should be even better. Hopefully very Costco fuel station will start selling diesel.

I'm in Alaska for the summer and diesel last week drop 1¢ below gasoline! However, the Alaskan price for diesel is now $3.34, the price you pay for being in these great surroundings! :-)

I hope Costco continues the trend out side of CA. I have yet to see a Costco with diesel.

I am in CA too and noticed that it was cheaper than regular unleaded. I didn't know if that was normal or not and got me thinking we should eventually upgrade our TV to a diesel. Anyways, that's probably a whole other thread...

We are Costco members and so far, the only Costco where we've found diesel was in Bakersfield - we look via GasBuddy and checking each Costco location. Hopefully they expand it to ALL their stores that have pumps!

My local gas station (cash only) sells regular gas and diesel for the same price right now. Everywhere else its 20 to 30 cents more for diesel. I'm not sure how the local station is doing it... but its been that way for a month now.

Don't know where in Central California you are but here in Visalia we got it a few weeks ago. It has been great. I used to drive to get a decent price on diesel, and now it is right here in town. 2.55 as of today

Have to chuckle - DH's 'cheap date night' is Costco's food window ~ soft drink (unlimited refills) + polish or hot-dog with sauerkraut for $1.50! That and unlimited samples makes the shopping bearable for him.

In New Jersey (my commute puts me close to the border) Diesel went from about the same price as regular to more than premium a few months after I bought my turbo-Diesel car.

I have a Walmart with a Murphy on site. Their diesel prices are very competitive.

Today in Cincinnati, regular gas shot up to$2.99 but I've seen diesel from $2.43 to $2.69!

According to CNBC and other cable news outlets, your price jump is because of the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana shutting down for a problem with its distillation unit that may take 'months' to repair. But there is absolutely no manipulation of fuel prices by golly. Product all ready in the ground at gas stations goes up because of a refinery outage? REALLY????????????????
