Good golly man. I was getting whiny because we're getting 6 inches and the high in a couple days is going to be -3 with a low of -8. Yup. You win. It ain't even close. But hey, I don't want to win that contest.

Truck can't complain anymore. It got a warm water bath, towel dry, clayed, and waxed with Wizards Shine Master. It's back to hibernation in it's spot in the garage where it's 70*. Outside,... looks nice because it's sunny but it's barely 15*, windchills around 0* and the forecast is calling for us to get dumped on somewhere between 5 and 11 inches tomorrow and some brutal cold weather coming this week.
The day I put the truck in the garage I was pretty surprised at how well it started. It had been outside for 2 days and it was -4*. Curiosity was getting the best of me on this, so I put the key in the ignition, turned it on and immediately cranked it. I didn't even give it a chance for the start light to come on. It rolled over a couple extra times than normal and lit right off. My old Cummins wouldn't even think of starting. You HAVE to wait for that one if you want it to start. Diesel technology has come a long way since 99.

And we are in for another round of sub zero artic temps here in the Taconic mountains of upstate NY,MA, and VT. We are right on the border of the three states. Beautiful but "nippy" this time of the year. Minus 28 last week with the wind. Whatever happened to the January thaw?......LOL

Anybody want to trade weather? Minus 32 f predicted here Wednesday morning. 60 degrees below freezing.
That is Fahrenheit not Celsius and not wind chill temperature.
minus 50 plus wind chill predicted. It is much warmer in Fairbanks Ak, although some what darker there.
Hi Winnipeg thanks for the cold

My truck is too big for the garage and I have too many other toys inside, so it lives outside. As we all know, it was crazy cold last night and still is. I plug in my engine block heater all night, and also a heated battery blanket. When I turned the key this morning it cranked and started like a summer morning. Warm, full synthetic oil was up in the valves almost instantly.
