Gerber LST (made in Portland, USA) in in my pocket 95% of the time when I leave the house. It's ultra lightweight and in 10+ years has never worn a hole in my pocket.

I carry a Gerber Suspension multitool in the TV (it's also my daily driver). I use both knives regularly.

Carry a Kershaw Ken Onion 'Chive' always. Been with me for 15 years. Easy one-handed opening whenever I need it. Also place a Leatherman on my belt whenever I'm in the woods or traveling, the pliers part alone has 'saved my Bacon' on multiple occasions.
Great to see so many Kershaw fans.

Benchmade Barrage 154CM in my pocket ( except flying ) for the last 5 years. A present from my son in the Marines in celebration of our first grandson.

I always carry either a knife or multi-tool.

I have a couple of those LSTs in various sizes. Good knives. Only reason I don't carry the small one anymore is because the key-chain hole broke. I still carry it in my EDC bag though.

I have a small collection of pocket knives... just under 500 last count. I tend to shy away from the mass produced commercial stuff anymore and prefer handmade custom slipjoints.

Uncle gave me my first pocket knife when I was 9, always had one in Boy Scouts. Bought a Leatherman Wave when I was in the Navy and have been carrying the same one for the past 16+ years. Pliers are a bit loose now, but still works great.

Mine is the same age as yours. I visited the factory store while on a business trip and was told to send it back and no questions asked it would be replaced. That was 2 years ago and I am still thinking about it.

Thought I might show my age, but ... A pocket (or otherwise) knife was necessary equipment in the 50's/'60's for most anyone - not unlike a cell phone these days. Perhaps those habits die hard, but as a retired sailor, I'd not be without one. More than once, a knife perhaps saved someone's life. Over the years I've given over a dozen good knives as graduation gifts, although now most kids prefer $$.

Yes - working for an outdoor retailer all sorts of "swag" comes around. At the moment I carry a small Swiss Army-style pocket knife. I also have a couple of old Buck Woodsman knifes that I got from my Dad when we were back-packing years ago. Keep one in the truck and one in the trailer.

I'll pose it slightly different than Mdiwade - not quite fully dressed without it.

I've been making knives on and off for almost 20 years. No folders, but lots of kitchen, hunting and farm. They just need to be there. It drives me nuts to fly.

I've had to give up more than one good pocket knife because I forgot to leave it home when flying. Even lost a pair of finger nail clippers that way... really?... We used to fly a bit more when our youngest was still in college just to maximize the time we had when visiting. I don't miss that...

One reason among many I picked up my pilots license. Within reason I can carry whatever I want on my aircraft.

Sounds expensive, but I rent out planes for less than 60 an hour wet (includes your fuel). The FAA medical is a pain, but as long as you are worthy of being on the road, you can pass that one too.
