It is currently 73 degrees at 9:30 PM here in western PA. There have been many years that we have had snow by now. Going to keep going as long as the weather stays so warm.

We didn't have a winter last year. In January, one of my daughters and I were playing golf in shorts. I'm actually hoping for a normal winter.

I usually winterize right after Columbus Day weekend when most campgrounds in the Northeast close for the winter.

I just moved from New York to Georgia and hope to be camping into December.

I have actually had enough, it was a long six months of camping. Time to pull the other trailer out and get the snowmobiles ready for winter, bring on the snow.

I'll move the trailer to Denton, TX next week for a 5 month project.
Winter is easier on me and the trailer.
The heater keeps up with Texas winters easier than the AC does with summers.
A few weeks of extremes and a few months of moderate temperatures.

I do like summer though.

Sunday I'm heading home after a short stay with my family, otherwise I might have to put skids on. Every 3 days it is burning now 20 lbs. propane. I don't want to park it at home on a heap of snow either.
It was a great long season since April, mostly boondocking and a few stays at family. I also did my lift to get more clearance at my shop at home. Time goes to fast when having fun.

Jealous of all the posters with extended camping seasons. Frost warnings in my area last night and tonight. Will be bringing the HTT home this weekend for the winterize process. Season is done for another 7 months.

One more trip in Michigan for Halloween weekend for grandkids. May have to blow out lines before and after. Didn't do it last year and had cold snap. Didn't crack any lines, but it damaged my water pump check valve, causing it to leak. Better safe than sorry.

We just winterize and then dry camp until it warms back up in the Spring.

The best part of camping season is just getting started for us

... {moment of silence} ...

Lucky to live in the South where this is the best time of year for camping. Unlucky (or lucky depending on how you look at it) to be too busy to go camping.

I absolutely LOVE this time of year in TX for camping. IMO it doesn't get much better. But we pay for it dearly July through September when we're literally cooking to death outside.
