Since we have a motorhome, we do not use a TV, but we used a GMC Envoy as a toad for a couple of years. Now use a jeep, but have always used a GMC 1500 as a general use pickup. Our motorhome is also on a GM (Chev) chassis.

A 34 coupe! Our family had a Ford dealership for 50 years so to say the least I am a Ford man. Of any vehicle Ford has made to date, the 34 Coupe is one of my favorites. Love them. My other favorite is the 49 Ford coupe. One day........

Ford seems to be the popular choice! Funny thing - Ford's seem to have been rated with the highest quality for value from the professionals as well. I like my Envoy, though ... nice comfortable ride. If I had the choice, I'd go for the fit & finish of Toyota (if I could afford it)!

I voted for Dodge since I have one with the awesome Cummins engine AND it has a manual transmission. (because I like to drive, instead of being driven)
Glad to see Nissan has a vote. My 1991 hardbody (they didn't have a name back then!) has over 300,000 miles on it. Great truck, no complaints. Sold it to a friend and he drives it to work every day. And I still get to go visit it on occasion...

I've had 2 Dodge 2500 Cummins. My 2005 was totally trouble free. I traded it in
for a new 2008 and the only issue I have had with it was them replacing the turbo when it had 700 miles on it. The truck has over 30,000 miles on it now and has been trouble free.

Having owned and driven 34 Chevys in 45 years with only one of them having any major mechanical problems (transmission) I will stick with the bowtie's.

To use, the functionality of the vehicle is more important than the brand name. We want something that has lots of internal space, will store a 12' surf rod without taking it apart, 4x4 with single rear wheels for beach fishing, and 10,000 lb towing capacity and enough spare load capacity for all the camping and beach stuff. That pretty much limits us to big block and diesel full size vans with a 4x4 conversion. Last one was a 1995 Chevy/Quigley G20 with 350 gasser, but the current vehicle is 2005 Ford/Quigley E350 with the Powerstroke diesel. Most of the current big power vans are Fords .....

Spoken like a true Ford fan, no disrespect intended; however statistics might indicate different:

According to the above write-up the GM Duramax has the Cummins and Ford diesels beat HP and torque wise which would indicate, all things being equal, the GMC or Chevy will have passed whatever is in front (right lane to left and back) before Dodge or Ford can do much more than get into the left lane. Now, having said that we all know brand loyalty comes in to play with this thread, in fact it’s the dominating figure. If you’re a GM fan you’ll defend them to the end, whereas a Ford or Dodge fan will do the same for their side. For my buck there’s not that much difference other than that ole’ brand loyalty at work and I’ve owned all three major bands.

One last post….
As a late afterthought; after re-reading my previous post I can see where it may have come across as a put down to some, wasn’t meant to be. I just happen to come across an article on another forum addressing truck/engine issues and thought it may apply. I have a cousin that now pulls his 37’ Jayco with a three year old 1 ton Ford and loves it even though he still likes the Dodge he use to own. I like the Dodge I now own even though I drove a Chevy for 30 years and still own one small Ford. As I said, it all comes down to which truck you personally like best as they’re all good nowadays, in my opinion.

Currently have a Chevy .Have owned all of the big 3 trucks at one time or another, loyal to none but no more Fords for me after owning a nightmare F250 one time. Since 1979: 3 Fords, 2 Dodge, 1 Chevy.

Other than a diesel what I found was a nissan titan had the highest towing cap. of any 1/2 ton trucks
mine is 2004 titan 4wd with the tow pkg. and im telling you it has more power than anything I have ever driven
