If you want something a bit more accurate try a ScanGauge II it really does work good...

GM
I've owned nothing but Chevies and GMCs. I currently have a 1500 Sierra Z71. Always, always had great service out of GMs.

Chevy. Chevy. Chevy.
I love my Suburban 1500. I wish it were a 2500, but it's still awesome. Holds 4 kids, their friends, and enough lacrosse, baseball and football equipment for all of them at once.
Plus mom, and usually a 90 shepherd.
Have I mentioned CHEVY???

Even though pulling with a Chevy right now, sure wish it was a Dodge...can't beat 'em as far as I'm concerned!!!

These results raise a question in my mind. Chevy leads, yet in our neck of the woods they are rare. Nearly everyone here has a pickup or two, yet only three I can think of have Chevrolets or GMCs. By far, Dodge would lead the poll if taken up here. I'm a Ford guy and Ford would have a far higher count than Chevy if polled here. This makes me wonder why Chevrolet leads in this poll. Is it a matter of city versus country contributors? I wondered if it could be a regional thing, but that wouldn't seem to affect your poll here. If we rule out price, as the two are close, when looking at why folks get a Ford or Chevy, what are the other reasons? I've driven Chevys and they are quieter and ride more like a big car, but I think the Ford does better over time on bad roads. Just my personal prejudice. Would it be out of line to ask others to comment on why they got what they got, Dodge included?

The poll results would be different if it were for one size of trailer. For example the small trailers have lots of half tons mini trucks, and suv's towing them. Medium size trailers requiring a heavy 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton truck would look different. Heavy trailers would be limited more to just the big 3 with lots of one tons and duallies and a few MTD's .
In the winter where most people stay for several months you see a lot of 3/4 and one ton trucks. Long term campers don't as a rule live in small trailers or hybrids.
Just an observation.

I like my Dodge, but I shop by price so when its time to trade I may switch. Hey next time you are ready for your next new truck try this site its free and will give you true dealer cost, what the best retail price you should pay based on the options you chose.

I have owned both Ford & Chevy. I loved the ride, visibility and just the way I sat in the 2001 Ford F-150 I owned. It handled my 28ft Sunnybrook 5/W very well.
I bought the 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 D/A for the engine, tranny combo as to me it was the best combo when I bought it in 2009. I knew I was going to upgrade the camper soon so I felt the Chevy was the best truck at the time.
My brother has a 2011 Ford F250 Diesel and he seams to like it. He has plans of buying a camper soon so time will tell how he likes it for that.

Any of them will do the job. I am a Chevy/GMC guy myself but for towing the Dodge/Cummins has my attention since 2000.
