I know, it isn't REALLY a TV, but it REALLY wants to be

Sorry to say... "Mopar or No Car"

I tend to prefer the diesel Cummins over the gasser for the simply the good MPG's and the HP/TQ is much better.

2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L CrewMax - it is solid. It is a great truck if given half a chance.
I wished Toyota made a diesel model with a bit more pull (for 5th wheels etc).
I have heard they are working on it...must have heard me.

I have also heard that some folks do use Tundras to pull 5th wheels without a problem as well. I guess I just want a more powerful diesel Tundra model.

I figure, whatever works. And my Dodge does. Since November 16th, it's driven over 7000 miles, 5000 of that pulling my 26BH. And nary a problem.

Goes real fast too. Uphill.

At least fast enough for me. 80mph might not be enough for you.

I would... 2002 Dodge Cummins last time on the Dyno I was pushing 381/831 on the rollers... As for MPG's I've high marked 25.3 MPG and typically 20-21 MPG unloaded... But soon to see load numbers this spring...

As for the ride home from the dealer with my 2000 Jayco It was like the trailer wasn't there.

As for my Buddy down in Florida with his 2001 Dodge Cummins... Caj Flynn he's past the 900K mile mark and still rolling towing boat back and forth the USA. Got to say a lot to see that... Even nice to see his truck on TV!

I'm not knocking other makes of truck but I'm a Dodge fan from day one...

Oops! I guess I better drive with a lighter foot from now on. Thanks for the info. Seems that should have been mentioned during the new TT walk through when I picked it up last September.

I'll take a good look at the tires, maybe have them inspected. Probably not a bad idea anyway, since they have over 5000 miles on them now.

Have a good one,

My truck of choice would be a Chebby or GMC. Common sense tells me that I am better off with a Cummins. So I drive a Dodge. Not for the Dodge part but for the Cummins part.

Why do you think they put the cummins in the dodge? IT IS THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN SELL THEM... no one in their right mind buys a chryco for any other reason...

I guess that I am now an official member of the Fiat Owners Club. I am not sure but I think that is a step down from when the Germans were running the show.

Hey the overhead on my truck said I was getting 21.9mpg when we went to Quartzsite to see our new trailer. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling until I remembered that the overhead lies by 1mpg.
