Hammering water pipes
We have a Jayflight slx 287bhsw. After the bleach mix sat in the tank and lines for about 4.5 hours I opened the faucets to help speed up the process of draining the tank.
The kitchen faucet operated fine but when i opened the bathroom faucet there was an annoying noise. I would compare it to the sound of the hammering you can hear in the water lines in a house when there is air in the line. Both hot and cold had great water flow no air in the line. I let each run for a minute or two and didnt get a smuch as a sputter. I then opened the shower lines for a bit and no noise there or with the outside shower. I rotated through all faucets 3 times and only the bathroom sink lines make the noise. The lines are fairly taught and not braced to anything but I had just enough slack I could hold a portion of the line against the drain pipe wondering if that would quite it down but it didn't.
Anybody out there have any ideas?
