Happy Mom's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to our moms! Thinking of my mom who passed in '16. Remembering all of those meals she prepared at the campsite. How about that huge northern pike she reeled in out of the 14' aluminum boat, no frills, but she caught the big one!

“Happy Mother’s Day?”

Not for me. I’m holding out for Fathers Day and a much anticipated bottle of Blanton’s bourbon!

My mother also loved camping. Traveled all over the USA in a 19' TT.

She passed away 27 years ago from Parkinson's disease.

I’ll jump on this bandwagon wishing all of the mothers out there a happy Mother’s Day. My mother is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s but she and my dad loved RVing all over the country. They could be hooked up and ready to go within an hour when receiving a call to go camping.

We are caring for my mother who has dementia. She and my father have been living with us now for the last 8 years. She hasn't been able to speak or communicate for the last 3 years and she relies on one of us to feed her, change, her, etc. It's a very tough thing to have to face, but it is part of life. My parents also traveled up until she was physically unable to. The last couple of years, we have a handicap van and we still take her as many places as we can.

Keep your chin up. These days are hard for me also.

Getting ready to take my wife and kids out for lunch. She deserves a pat on the back also. Nobody signs on when you are young to be taking care of your mother-in-law along with your kids at this point in your life. She hasn't complained once.

Happy Mothers Day to all of you moms!

The mother of my children and I are both dealing with ailing moms too. Give them all the love and support that we can. They were more selfless than I could ever know!
