Congratulations. Good move. We left California in 2003. Couldn't deal with the policies of the state government or the massive traffic issues that developed in the Bay Area.

Congrats to you. Not sure why any sane person still wants to live in Cali

You'll love Idaho. We lived in Boise for 7 years but had to pull up stakes because of family issues. Incredibly beautiful state and me being a devout fisherman loved to fish the Snake River where I believe that every species of fish found in North America swims. My sister lives in Southern California and is becoming increasingly bitter about the states "policies".

Yes, exactly why we left...
Regulating cow farts was the last straw of MANY straws!!!
Been going to Idaho for the last probably 14 years and love it here...

Congratulations on your move...but your timing sucks ! LOL Idaho is fantastic in the summer, I spend this past summer at Bear Lake, but winter and snow is not my thing anymore. Boise is politically similar to much of California...the rest of the state is great.

We get more snow and it will tend to be colder in northeast california. We get the Truckee influence for our weather...

You will be much happier... We left in 98 / 2000 and avoid going back for anything (except funerals). Have to say that Idaho is more laid back than Utah - if that is even fathomable to some folks here... but I spend a bit of time in Boise for work - and travel to Twin Falls more regularly in our Seneca...
Don't look back!
