I like these "Good Old Days" threads. It makes me think of my Grandma. Edna was born 1895, was a nurse in World War I. On her way to England when the 1918 Spanish Flu broke out.

My grandma use to say "I don't care for people who talk about the 'good old days."
She'd say "I was there. They weren't that good."

I would take the good old days anytime as compared to these. Would like to go back and live them all over again.

Yeah, we did all the things they tell kids not tom do today, and we lived thru it anyway. We respected our parents and acted like responsible adults, even before we were adults.

Some of us went to war, some did not come back. But we did our duty.

But truthfully, with the cellphones things are much better today. We can call up and get $ from our bank account, and then call our drug dealer so we can get a fix with no hassle. We can post and look at naked pics. Some of the people allowing the pics to be taken are happy to do it, while others that didn't want it are told too bad.

I'm going to end my rant now by saying that we are all very ignorant about the people we despise. Some vilify Trump, others vilify other politicians or billionaires because of their "excess" money. But the true villains are Jobs and Zuckerberger because the things that have degraded our society today are EyePhones and Farcebook, to name a few.

I anxiously await the flames that find that the things I call evil are what they really "need'.

I take my phone with me only in case something goes haywire. Need to get the police or whatever.
