10 hours, 630 miles to campsite in NW Minn. Normally stay 7 to 10 days. Than 9 hours, 540 miles to son in NW North Dakota. He has spot for us with hookup. Stay as long as the walleye are hitting in spring/summer. That is our spring trip. For fall, we stay both places as long as the waterfowl and pheasants cooperate. In between we normally limit it to 300-350 miles a day on our annual trips south and the same for our trips west to Yellowstone and the Black Hills. Don't think we've ever stayed closer than 200 miles from home.

We've stayed relatively local compared to most on here. We're 2 hours from the beach and 3 from the mountains so we haven't had to go much farther than that to camp. We were headed to Chattanooga next week for a softball tournament but my daughter has an injury preventing her from playing. We're also going to be questionable on a trip to Tallahassee in the beginning of July if she's not healed up by then. Those would have been our 2 longest by far.

We are already planning a trip to OKC next summer for the WCWS though.

Our typical is about 1 hour (Smith's Point Park on Long Island). It's my wife's favorite place to camp locally. We will venture out of state once or twice a year, usually to PA but we've gone to VA and as far as FL but those trips being to get relatively expensive and more difficult to plan given the price of gas and tolls in the northeast and working around limited vacation time.

As little as 15 minutes ( we are lucky enough to have a nice State Park, so close that it take longer to get the TT turned around and out of the driveway)..

..or as much as 2 days/650 miles for our annual Fall trip to the Smokies. And points in between, usually within Florida.

That's the extent of our roaming so far, but when finances stretch a little, we hope to be roaming further.

A long way. Since I'm way up in northern Alberta, my camper is stored 10 hours from me in Hinton. After collecting it, I drive a few hours each week, since I live in mine for the summer. Since I'm so far north, my camping season ends in late August

We have no rule like that. We go as far as we can or a close as we want.

The only hard and fast rule is not driving over 6 hours without stopping for the night and never set up after dark. Did that once and never again.

Weekend trips are 20 min from home. Usually 3-5 hours for a longer trip. Taking the leap in a few weeks and doing 12 days, 3500 miles! We'll see how it goes!

For the time being, 30 min. to 2 hours, for a long weekend to a week or more. Hope to expand on that soon.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.

1500 to 2200 miles one way. Absolutely no campgrounds between southern GA and AZ or WA. Would be nice if there were a few.

Drive time depends on camp time. Our typical weekend camping is 1-2 hours of driving for a 2-3 night stay. Our vacation camping took about 5 hours to get there but we stayed a week. My driving preference is based on how much light I have left in the day as I'm not a fan of parking my 5'r in the dark.

Longest trip we've towed for was 6 hours of drive time. Did make that a 4-night stay just to make it worth the effort. Most of our camping is weekend time only, unfortunately.

We do a lot of trips locally, where drive time is under 45 minutes, sometimes nearing 30 minutes. Still feels like you've gotten away from the daily routine enough, but you have the ability to run back home quick if something got left behind or whatever. Furthest trip that we make somewhat repeatedly is just over 2 hours, usually get that in 3 or 4 times a summer, usually a Friday-Sunday stay.

I'd say as long as it takes to get where we want to go. That's the short answer.

Really, you can't get too far in TX in 3 hours LOL!!

That being said, I'm hesitant to go much more than 4-5 hrs if it's a two-night weekender type trip. If I'm going that far, I'd like to stay 3 nights.

The multi-travel-day road-trip-type vacations are a whole different animal. On those trips, we've been known to drive for two days straight or more. But then those trips are usually at least a week long.

We typically stay at a local county CG when my kid's baseball and softball seasons are in full swing but will venture out 1.5 hours away for another weekend getaway. We do one long trip each summer for 8-9 nights; last year it was Arkansas, this year it's Colorado.
