How I Spent My Spring Vacation

On of the reasons Sallie and I returned home when we did was that a wind storm broke off a neighbors tree. It broke about 30' up and was about 24 in in diameter where it broke. It was a green White Fir and it was really heavy. It was nice enough to land on the roof of my old shop. We spent yesterday helping the contractor break it up and haul it off. Here are a few pics. (I hope) The first is from the inside, the second and third are showing progress and the fourth is the job superintendant.

Clutch, I can`t think of a better way to spend a vacation then cuttin` up trees and haulin` away destroyed sheds. What fun.

Wow! That was some strong wind! So maybe this was a good thing with it being an "old shop"? Was it still used?

Crabman, They say exercise is good for you.:hihi: We had already hauled away two truck loads of limbs and my friends cut the tree into blocks that Sallie and I had already stacked.

Seann, the blocks should be dry enough for a summers worth of campfires in a couple of years. They are really green and wet..

Healthi, we had several cords of wood in it that we had to move and lots of other things. It has now overfilled my big shop so it looks like a yard sale will be in the future. I need work space in my big shop.
