The latest track has it passing right over top of us, then heading your way. So the track has been moved farther West rather then out to sea. Not good. I see Cape May is being evacuated. Stay safe

Thanks for all the well wishes. I think were going to need them. I just filled the Jayco to the brim with 59 gals. of water, turned on the frig, chocked her down good. The water will hopefully act as ballast weight as well as a reserve.

Couldn't of said it better. Sounds like you did all you can to get ready for Irene. Hope you both and everybody else on the east coast make out OK.

We are in NW NJ, looks like we'll be just to the west of the eye, but well within the path! Any last minute advice for prepping the TT? Fresh water tank full, propane full....no trees nearby....

Don't forget to give the Genarator a pull to make sure it cranks and a couple of 5 gallon gas cans full. Hopefully all for nothing.
Our crews at the Electric Utility I work at, leave in the morning heading your way, the word we are getting they are headed to Washington DC. In 28 years I never can remember us heading that far North, Thats a 19 hour drive by car probably 24 hrs by convey. You have never seen anything like a Major utility convey, Man it's like your being invaded. Hundreds of big and small trucks, trailers, we even come with our own ice plant, washer and dryer trailers, you name it. But we will be there to help if needed.
I'm proud to say that during Katrina we were able to restore Power to every customer that was able to take it in 11 Days and that was a Class 5 storm. So don't sweat it there is plenty of storm preparations taking place before the storm hits ,so storm restoration can begain as soon as possible.
But hopefully things will change for the better. I remember on several occasions the predicitions on the weather channel were a bit of a hipe.
But that being said don't take any chances, evacuate if the warning comes , GOOD LUCK.

Traffic here on the mainland side of Barnegat Bay will be horrendous today .... and the DW has a 9:30AM Doctors appointment 10 miles from our house...
