Hurricane Milton is coming

Us FL west coast resdents are bracing for Hurricane Milton. The forecasters thought it would be an active season and they were right.

There was a news item a few days ago that there are 16,000 uninhabitable homes in the St. Petersburg area from Hurricane Helene. That area is forecasted to being a direct hit or very close from Milton.

I hope we don't have any members at Fort Wilderness. Orlando is in the forecasted track.

I'm here in Daytona Beach.
We'll probably get hit pretty good(bad).
We'll be prepared as best we can.
We weathered 3 cane's within 6 months in 2004!!!

Local Orlando weather is still saying it could swing further South, but yes, be prepared.

it has changed track somewhat to the south already so if it stays on this track or heads further south, the Tampa and north areas will be spared the worst of the storm as in heaviest rains and wind. The wind as it stands now on present track will hit them from the west and suck water out of the bay. Flooding was the major issue this last time, not so much the wind, at least in this area. Tallahassee was another issue altogether

As luck would have it, my son just moved to Brooksville, Florida 2 months ago.
He has already had Helene and now Milton.

We just got an email from our park in Homosassa saying that they survived Helena and will be open with just minor damage to the facility. Hope the luck holds for the next one!
