Hurry up Spring

It's the last day of February (glad it's not a leap year), and I've spent an hour shoveling and just waiting for today's storm to finish up in the next hour so I can do the last bit of clean up. 265cm (almost 9 feet) so far this winter. I'm hanging on, and then I see the forecast for the weekend... C'mon already, another 3-4 feet! How I hate that groundhog!

I need

As winters go, it's been a fairly mild winter out here on the prairie. It's snowed a couple times (no big deal either time) and we had a cold spell of single-digit temps. Otherwise, we've had the normal temps in the 20s to 40s with a few 50-degree days sprinkled in.

Having said all that, I'm right there with you. I despise the cold and can't wait until we can enjoy great outdoors again.

might want to redo the math
45 cm is not 48 inches
not even 2 feet
No sympathy here
Weve had about 9 feet but it was a late start
I think the march lamb is buried

I realized the issue a bit later, but didn't have time to get back to correct. And just to add insult to the injury, the plow went by leaving a three foot pile a foot deep at the end of the driveway after he drove over it and mashed it down good and hard!

Actually is symptom of warming
We get a lot more snow when it picks up the more humid air off the ocean
Warm air holds more moisture
And increasingly our snow ends with rain then it freezes
We used to grt a lot more snow and now we get a lot of ice
Snowplow berms are solid too

Or a symptom of moving back toward normal.

Our rain and snow this year has been closer to our normal winters. Also the La Niña forecast for summer has been changed to El Niño.

The wind is blowing steady 40 to 50 mph with gusts about 70 mph!

Sick of the dang wind here this year. Been stupid all winter.

We are supposed to have that wind here tomorrow in Western PA. We've already lost our power twice in February. The first time, it was out for several days. Not looking forward to starting April that way.

This has been a really odd winter for us. Very minimal snow in Western PA but just relentless wind storms. My poor generators have certainly paid for themselves though.
