Keep posting...vicarious living in progress!

For those of you able to enjoy the camping lifestyle and activities at this time of year...please, please, please share your adventures no matter how trivial they may seem. I just did some depressing calender math and realized it’s still more than 120 days before we can enjoy such pleasantries again ourselves. Until then, you are the lifeline to our favorite form of recreation. It’s gotten so bad, I told the wife just the other day that I was so hungry to go camping that I’d probably eat the arsehole out of a dead rhino just for the privilege of dumping and flushing a black tank. She muttered something about “shoulda listened to my mother and married better” under her breath as she hustled the dog off to safer confines away from my cabin fever ramblings. Anyhow...thanks in advance for sharing. Being able to enjoy a broad range of discusssions on the forum sure helps to pass the time.

Our favorite southern spot when we get out of PA is St. Augustine Florida. It's too bad it's going to be 25 there tonight with a freeze warning. Of course, it's a heat wave as compared to the sub zero weather we have here.

I second that SparkDr. Reading all of the posts has been great in between feeding the dog, chickens, and woodstove. Sitting at 3 degrees here in N. Oh.

Nice and warm here in Benson AZ. Left Ontario on Dec 27, going back about Apr 24.

On Saturday we'll move to Organ Pipe NM for a couple of days then to Yuma for a bit before going to Quartzsite for a couple of weeks. Then a few days outside the bottom of Joshua Tree and then on to Desert Hot Springs in a park for 5-6 weeks. After that it depends on the warming of places a bit north.

Is this what you are looking for?

Currently -7 windchill but the 5r is still keeping us warm. Burning a lot of propane to keep belly tanks warm but when it’s this cold there are trade offs! Probably worst part is the water transfer when the tank gets low

I live in St Augustine and yes, it bitter cold here right now. Seems like the cold was easier to handle when I lived in Colorado or even Alaska. It just feels different when it’s cold in Florida.

Well,

Spent last weekend at a place about an hour away. High during the day was high 60's low 70's.

This afternoon we head for Lake Havasu. Forecast is mid 70's high and all the way to mid 50's as a low. I'll need to find a sweater to bring.

I can't imagine not being able to do outdoor stuff for more than a weekend or 2. I still wear shorts to work everyday. i had a customer ask me the other day if I realized it was winter. I told her these were my cold shorts!
