Well, if you remember back a couple of months ago, I mentioned starting a project and that I would post pics later. I wanted to wait until I knew that I could handle it. This one was a little above what I would normally take on. But, I'm pretty excited with the results.
This is on a 2004 Dodge Dakota by the way. Here are some before and after pics.

I’ll never claim to be a mechanic, but that looks pretty darn good to me! Nice work!

Thank you. I actually really like the challenge of these types of projects.

I did also when I was younger. Now it is difficult to bend over a fender or crawl on the floor or ground.

My wife bought me a lift for my home shop back for my 40th birthday. Best gift ever.

This is what I did yesterday. I made a die to build a missing leg for a 413C, Coleman stove. We estimate the year about 1947.

That is great work. Those old Coleman stoves are definitely worth saving.

Sure glad I got the trailer winterized this week. It was only 100 degrees today.

I have two more 2 burner stoves and two, 3 burner that still need worked on. I already rebuilt the 3 lanterns that I have over summer. I had surgery and could not go out in the woods, that is what I have been doing. All healed now.

Sounds like a great hobby. Do you sell them when you are finished with the restoration or do you keep them for use or as part of a collection?

The lanterns I will keep. The stoves? One 3 burner goes in the TT. I will rebuild and make up my mind then on the rest. The two burner built in 1947 (413C) is a keeper. The catalytic heaters I have will go away except one to use. I bought a 3 burner (426B) today with no fuel tank and listed that for sale on Coleman Collectors Forum classifieds. It is rough, but fixable.

That's really cool. I would love to have a hobby like that.

I have to comment on the above Coleman posts, for you see, I am the administrator for the Coleman Collectors Forum and the current board president of the International Coleman Collectors Club.
As Midnightmoon observed, it is a fun hobby and still, somewhat affordable. I have been involved with club since 2004 and attend a yearly convention that is always in a different part of the country. SWMBO and myself have pulled the White Hawk to a number of these events since 2014.
It is very satisfying, bring a nearly 100 year old gas pressured appliance back to life and even making some customs along the way.

That is some beautiful equipment Murff. I may have to find myself something to work on over the winter. As you've seen with some of my previous posts, I love working on stuff and always end up looking for something to do when the weather gets rough here mid winter.
I have an old oil lantern missing shade in the basement of our farmhouse. I have absolutely no idea what it is. But, it may be something interesting to start with.

OK Coleman guys, this is on my local Craigslist. Appears to be the same basic stove that is pictured above. Tell me what you can about it. (Dang people spending my money.....LOL)
