Haha, I'm winning, I'm winning!

Well, had a truck assigned to me, but when I got to the terminal, it was nowhere to be found; at first. It was located at the Volvo dealership. Looong story short, someone thought the truck was ready, but it was not even close.
So I'm waiting for another phone call to try again.

That's too bad John but not at all surprising. There always seems to be a disconnect between dispatch, maintenance, management, etc. Let us know when it finally shows up for you.

Howdy! Been so busy I've literally not checked my usual forums all week. Got started last Friday, a week ago, and accomplished my first solo delivery and headed home for the weekend. This week was the first full week and I would say I'm off to a good start. Had lots of learning moments! Ran a little over 2,400 miles, which is at the low end of what I'd actually like to get. But it's good and wouldn't complain if that's all I get. Buddy of mine got started driving for the same company and his miles are not near as good, but he has a different dispatcher, too.

Anyway, hope you all had a good week! Be safe!

Have you ever tossed a recap like we see all over the highway?

Haven't yet. Suppose it can happen any time, though. Those things can be wicked bad if you get hit with a big chunk.

Last week was my busiest yet at around 3k miles, on my second week going solo, no less. Woohoo, let's go! Tired, though. It is pretty tiring work driving eleven hours a day, 5 days in a row.

Be safe out there! Don't use your cell phones while driving!

If I get enough votes I will change the rules in this outfit. Anything goes.

OK, I’ll toss my hat in the ring. If I win, anyone named nambarc has to wash any JOF member’s rig upon request!

I hope they inspect my cleaning chemicals and tools carefully before they vote for you. I can turn a beauty into a beast, and fast.

Hmmm. I’m dropping out of the race.

So far, I think your vote is your only one. That’s assuming you’re voting for yourself…

No votes means things stay the way they are.
