We had issues in Florida several times with Flying J and Pilot placing holds on our cc and the issuing company locked it for possible fradulent use.

As we found the truckstops convenient but FL a hotbed for skimming we went in to pay always with the cc after that.

We don't have Pilot Flying J up our way so its a non issue when we travel Northern NE and Canada

Yes we always inform our cc issuer when we will be traveling and our route before we leave home

Also they are usually .30 cents more expensive than everyone else usually.

I have friends with Cummins diesels in their TV's and they quit buying at Pilot/Flying J when they switched to BioDiesel. Seems like BD is always a higher price per gallon compared to Diesel #2.

For those who are traveling thru Salt Lake City - the hot price on diesel for the past two months is at the Maverick along I-15 in Draper. They have 7 lanes for high flow dual pump, and have been 24 - 29 cents lower than both of the Pilot-FlyingJ in the area.

We just went from Illinois to Colorado via Route 80. There are a lot of new Casey's truck stops along the route. Way easier in and out. No holds on our CC, very friendly staff, clean, plenty of food choices. Flying J was SOOOOOooooo rude to us both times. Never again. We carry 105 gallons of diesel so I can usually be picky on where I stop

Saves time and money as diesel on highways is generally higher than in and around campground area. We haven't had the opportunity to travel more than 250 miles from home with our Jayco yet. The trip I described was to Convict Lake, CA during Memorial Day week. Since we live in California and were traveling thru NV to get to our destination, we stopped for fuel in Minden NV both on the way down and again on the way home. Gas there was about $3.15/gal. At home it was over $3.65/gal and down in the Bridgeport and Lee Vining we saw gas selling for $5.19/gal.
