Speaking of VW's. I had several. I had a 69 automatic and my favorite was an orange van with purple shag carpeting. with only a windshield and the 2 front door windows. No others. I bought it without a motor, and myself and a buddy put an engine in it. Parked it in my parents garage. One night I woke up to a sound in the garage. Went out and the van was in flames. Two things kept it from burning down my parents house. First of all the garage door was cracked at the bottom, so we simply pushed the door up, and secondly, I had left the van in neutral, and the emergency brake off, so we just pushed it out into the driveway! Hosed her down and it was all over. Ended up giving it away. Oh the memories!

Bummer Ever findout how/why it went up in flames?
