Look up your first car.

I thought this was a neat site. http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html

Check it out.

Interesting site. I looked up the specs on my first car a 74 Chevy Nova. Just to show how far engines have come power wise, the 350 CI 5.7l V8 engine in that car had 160 H.P. Today`s 325 CI 5.3l Chevy V8 has over 300 H.P.

Nothing had any power in the early 70's. Smog and detuning wiped out all the good hp figures. It also hit the fuel consumption rather hard.

Real interesting. Just looked up the '51 Ford. I remember the velour ceiling, manual choke, stick shift, and radio that worked when it wanted to.

Thanks for the memories
