Was going to spend the week at Mistletoe state park in Georgia...3 days in hear about Michael. Well crap! Projected path was right over the park, not to mention my house is in South Georgia 25 miles above Tallahassee Florida and my house on the Coast in Taylor County Florida.
I was lucky. Only 3 days with no water or juice. Still got to go to the Coast to check that house, far enough east and South so wind was only in the 60 mph range, but about 8 to 12 feet of surge. Here in SWGA it was 100 mph for several hours.
Still got to wash the Whitehawk, looks like it was sprayed with ground leaves and dirt.
Please donate to the red cross or others....lots of folks lost everything.
Driving from Tallahassee to Cordele, GA on our way to Dillard, GA last Monday we saw an awful lot of pecan trees on the ground. We couldn't tell too much about the cotton crop but I understand that it was hit hard also since a lot of it has not yet been harvested.
