Movies To Add To Camper Collection

I'm looking for some DVD's to add to our camper movie collection. These DVD's are only for rainy days or at night so please don't bother saying how camping isn't about movies, TV or gadgets.

We have a wide age range of campers in the family. 4 boys ages 5,4,3 and 2. A 9 year old niece. Our parents are mid 60's and myself, my siblings and their spouses are 33-42. I think my main focus is getting movies for those 4 boys and I'm trying to plan ahead for them. Sure, I have some cartoons for them now but I think I have a lot of movies that they'll like as they get older such as Mighty Ducks, Free Willy, Sandlot, etc...

We already have RV and Long, Long Trailer so no need to mention them. lol

Other titles include, some old westerns, 2001, Alien, Raging Bull, Terminator, Batman, Forrest Gump, Grease, West Side Story, Outsiders, Goonies, Back to the Future, Gremlins, Voltron, Hong Kong Phooey, Looney Tunes, Karate Kid (original), Fight Club, Bronx Tale, Austin Powers, Wizard of Oz, Godfather, Tom & Jerry, Peter Pan, Airplane, Die HArd, French Connection, Despicable Me, Top Gun, Weekend at Bernies, Jumanji, Free Willy, Sound of Music, How To Train Your Dragaon, Rambo, Mrs. Doubtfire, Sandlot, Mighty Ducks, Princess Bride, Willy Wonka (original), Something About Mary, Spy Kids, Pulp Fiction, Monsters Inc, Spy Kids, Speed, Ghostbusters, Stand By Me, Taken, Speed, Gladiator, Great Outdoors, Ferris Bueller, Shining, Lord of the Rings and more.

I'm sure the collection of movies I have already is fine but this has become my new addiction. It's giving me something to do since there's no other camping related things to do right now. We open the season in about 6 weeks and pretty much have all the trips booked that we want for 2013.

LOL, like I said, this is my new addiction. Can't camp yet and we are pretty much booked for the 2013 season. I think I'm at about 140 movies now. They'll still be good for home too!

Add any more for camping and you'll need a trip to the CAT scales before going anywhere.

lol.

I put all the DVD's in a DVD case so I don't have any of the plastic cases or DVD labels.

I plan on using two of these.

I hope you have a copy of 1 of the greatest movies ever put on film: A River Runs Through It, with Brad Pitt, Tom Skerritt and Craig Scheffer. Truly a classic. Happy Camping!!

OK, my favorite movie of all time is 'Shawshank Redemption' although not really a kids movie. I live close to where it was filmed, but have never made it up there.

We can't leave home without taking National Lampoon's Vacation, Puss In Boots (for Purrscilla), No Time For Sergeants, several others that you already have on your list, and one that probably no one else has in their video library- This Is The Night (1932) Starring Cary Grant (his film debut), Lili Damita, Charles Ruggles, Thelma Todd and Roland Young. There are some others we pack that change with each trip depending on our mood or what we haven't watched for awhile. Examples are- M*A*S*H (both the TV and movie), Family Guy, The Twlight Zone (TV), The Three Stooges, Curious George, Dumbo, High Anxiety, 12 Angry Men, To Kill A Mockingbird, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Hollywood Knights, Coma, Tootsie, Police Academy, Romancing The Stone, Gran Torino, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Right Stuff, U-571, Run Silent Run Deep.

Oops, I got carried away.

I'm up over 150 titles at this point. I bought a 104 disc DVD binder and I thought it would be fine. Nope, I blew right past that and can still think of more movies!

When I get enough DVD's to fill the second binder then I'll stop. That should give us plenty to watch. lol I'll post the pist when I'm done.

I would add Mystery Men and Galaxy Quest. For the adults we like Gossford Park, The Village & Signs.
We have an ultra portable projector we bought from Brookstone and often set up a sheet outside and make our own theater in the woods (only if it doesnt upset any neighbors)
