Must be a Jayco thing.
I also belong to another RV forum and I have to say this one has the best members by far. The other one is full of arguments and grumpy people. Maybe its because we are Jayco owners and that makes us happy and friendly. Keep up the great work.

I agree 100%. I used to frequent the "other" rv forum, but couldn't take it anymore. Too much bickering and "mine's bigger and better than yours" type of stuff. Everyone is very friendly here and has a lot of information and advise to offer.

Those people on the other forum are happy! They are just those type of people....you know....they're not happy unless they're complaining! :hihi:
Personally, in the time I've been here, I don't remember anything but helpfulness and camaraderie. I hope it stays that way!

I read the "other forum" every day, mainly for entertainment, seldom for information. Regardless of your credentials, background, field of expertise, or experience, if you post something, you will be argued with. That gets old pretty fast and a lot of the arguments contain anywhere to incorrect, to, in some cases, dangerous information and are posted simply because someone heard something or just wanted to jump in on the conversation. I'm all for information sharing, but if you don't know what you're talking about and just shooting from the hip with something, why would you want to risk causing injury to someone. Some of the information posted there relative to electrical and propane is just flat out dangerous. I've been in the marine industry for 15 years and I've seen everything from equipment damage to minor injury, to death. RVing is fun and relaxing but if you are a DIY, this can be serious stuff.

Way I see it - why argue? We're all talking about going CAMPING aren't we? This is supposed to be fun, and that's why I keep coming here. Give me a good hitch, a full tank of fuel and a seasoned dutch oven and I'm a happy guy!

On the "other forum" folks get very "passionate" about loud chinese generators, tow vehicles, hitches, diesel or gas debates, buying from wholesalers vs local, your brand stinks and mine is the best, and so on. It occasionally happens here but not often. Attacking other members is not tolerated here, as a few have found out. But for the most part this is a very easy going group and super easy to moderate now that we have improved anti-spam defenses!.
