Things do change, sort of. The current government shutdown plan includes leaving federal parks, national monuments and public lands as OPEN as possible, instead of closing them down completely.

Fortunately we will not be impacted. Last time we were in the Brunswick area the federal park was closed but we were there again the next year and got to see it.

Last time, the government tried to make it as difficult on the public as possible, this time they are trying to make it as little impact on the public as possible.
