Once Again I'm Glad I Fulltime

My home base site is a lot in a residential area and yesterday right after lunch there was a major water main blowout right across the street from me. The city water crew was on site promptly even being a Sunday, but there is a major AT&T cable running right where the water main is. Since I am writing this 17 hours after the blowout and the water is still off, AT&T hasn't arrived yet to mark their cable location.

Once again my RV pays off. Full water tank and I have all I need while my s&b neighbors are high and dry. I keep my fresh water tank full in the winter so I can unhook my external water connection on the nights it will freeze and we have had a lot of that in the past couple of weeks.

The water department manager has no idea when AT&T will arrive, but he told me last night his phone calls to AT&T this morning won't be pretty.

I think I'll have another cup brewed from the only fresh water available in this entire end of town.

It must be nice to be the only person in that end of town to have a shave, shower and cup of coffee in the morning.

My next door neighbor, a supervisor with DirecTV, came over with a couple of empty cups. I was happy to share. I have DirecTV in my 5'er and a DirecTV guy isn't bad to keep on your side.
