Picture that I would like to share.

As some of you may know, I am a UPS driver on long island. I am half way through my career and finally got my own route. It is located in the quiet little shore town of Centerport on the north shore of long island. Everyday I see lots of people with cameras with large lens. While making a delivery, I asked why are there always photographers here. And the reply was "they are taking pictures of the centerport bald eagle. Her two chicks just hatched." I didn't even know that we had bald eagles on long island. This is a picture that was sent to me from one of the photographers. She is truly majestic.Click image for larger version

Great picture. We have a huge eagle nest in the next subdivision. They prevented the builder from developing several lots to protect the area.

There is an eagles nest at Berry college in north Georgia. It has 3 different camera views that allows you to be right there in the nest with the Eagles. Here is a link to be able to watch. Berry College - Eagle Nest Cam 2

Always a pleasure to see!

We were kayaking last Spring and there were two families with newborns roosting way up high in the trees along the shoreline.

On a side note, congrats on getting your own route. Not too many people will ever realize just how time consuming and difficult of an endeavor that can be.

Thank you. It doesn't make the job any easier but at least I know where I am going everyday. A different route every day was not for me.

I would love to but I can not take credit for the picture. It was from a local photographer that gave it to me. Great idea though.

You should be so proud of the people in your community for protecting and following the life of the Eagle and her young, so many would have disturbed her. Good on the (as the Aussies would say) and thank you for the beautiful picture.

Creation is amazing! Every morning when I wake up and look at my surroundings, I want to go for a 1000 year. Nature is so beautiful and we have to respect that part of creation.
Heart warming to see those pictures.
