OMG! Glad you are OK. The wind is brutal on I25 especially up there on the flatland. My husband recently went blind and I'm taking over the driving on out Jayco HT Eagle 5th wheel and that is one I haven't encounted with full force yet... Wind is scary so glad she muscled threw it.

Perhaps DW would appreciate a gift certificate for Victoria's Secret for all the effort? It might be needed!

Glad you are all alright 👍 and your wife did a great job 👏. Wyoming is always bad I remember driving truck with a basically empty 53ft trailer in the winter and going from one side of road to other

Tell her if she can do that? She qualifies for being a part of the school bus league. This is why I make sure the sway bar and stabilizers are in place. I hit some winds and glad for the school bus training because I was able to go into bus driver mode. Glad you guys lived thru that one. Gold star.

I 70 is worse and yes, those hail storms are wild. I never saw anything like it. Golf ball was more tennis ball hail. Glad Michigan does not have anything like it.

There is a reason there are windsocks along that stretch of I-25 and warning signs.

We carry a portable weather radio with us that is both battery and AC powered and we too use the windy app.

I've lived in Wyoming all my life and the wind can be vicious. As a Jayco Grayhawk owner I suspect you might not have had the same luck with a different brand. Kudos to your wife for a job well done. Thank goodness the ditch wasn't wet or it could have really been awful.

When its terribly high winds it really is best just to stay parked and wait it out. There are signs to warn of high winds on the Interstates and they usually are pretty accurate. Not to say that you cannot get hit unexpectedly but there are warnings. All three interstates in Wyoming can have high winds and can topple semis. Glad you are safe.

Glad you you came out okay with the wind! Good for your wife! : )

I-25 b/t Fort Collins and Cheyenne white knuckle cross winds...
2.5" hail in Ogallala..
Unscathed by winds in the area, but had TV and TT totaled in Ogallala - fortunately it was mostly cosmetic and we did very well on the buy back from salvage settlement.
After half a dozen trips from West Michigan to Fort Collins and lots of wind, torrential rain, storms, watching a distant tornado and I'm starting to get wary of the area.

I'd gladly pay for a lot more windsocks, flags and the like along I-80, I-25.
Every mile!
