R.I.P. Cheetah

Some of us may remember "Cheetah the chimp" from the 1930's Tarzan movies with Johnny Weissmuller, but sadly the chimp died recently at the age of "80". A volunteer at the sanctuary where Cheetah lived out most of his years stated:

""When he didn't like somebody or something that was going on, he would pick up some poop and throw it at them," Priest said. "He could get you at 30 feet with bars in between.""

Now that chimp had some class!

Bob

Other actor may display similar traits when irritated.

I enjoyed watching and learning about chimpanzees viewing the documentaries of Jane Goodall. Fascinating animals! Amazing how long they can live...

Since I was not watching TV in the 30`s and 40`s like Rustic, I was expecting this when I clicked on this thread:

80 yrs old, wow he outlived Tarzan by a bunch!

I had a Uncle that was a stunt double for Johnny Weissmuller when he filmed many of the Tarzan movies at Waukulla Springs in the Tallahassee Florida area.
Have some pictures of them together.

I didn't realize the little guy was still with us. I'll miss him more than the North Korean guy.
