Random Thoughts... a new Jayco?

Soooooo, there we were thinkin' about some mods to make with our tt. Went out to the tt.... weird as it sounds but there is something about that tt that 'smells' like hitting the road and traveling/camping. After three failed attempts to take off with the tt in as many weeks, we didn't get any mods done but we are successfully enjoying a cold night in our cozy warm tt at a local cc!

Good thing... I was starting to get 'White Hawk' fever and went as far as emailing RVDirect for a quote! LOL, we just needed to get back out with our little tt... nope, not going to write a check yet, but I really do like that new bunk house model White Hawk!

Awww it feels good to be camping again!

I believe the Starcraft equivalent is featured in the Trailerlife this month. Looks nice. Another idea is You and Don could use a rear living room lounger with a hide a bed for the kids! Those floorplans look very comfortable for a couple, but I suppose not many kids could sleep in one. The Whitehawk has not been out very long, have not seen a member with one yet so the jury is still out. But they do look nice.

Yup! LOL

Don actually emailed me and said to forget the White Hawk, let's get a nice 5'er and new 3/4 tv.... Unfortunately, we won't be able to use our good looks to buy it and we ran out of checks... *sigh* I'm glad I love my tt; we will be keeping it a long time

I often think of a new camper as we don't use the rear bunk room anymore with the kids grown. I really like the layout on the Jayco Eagle 351 RLTS 5th wheel. We met a couple with the Starcraft 'twin sister' last year and they gave us a tour. But then I come to my senses and realize the best camper is one that's paid for. Maybe someday.......

When we hit the road (as we tend to travel out of area), our grandkids typically aren't with us. We use the bunks then for Breezi to have her own 'sleeping' area, and the rest for storage of 'stuff' that we might otherwise store in the back seat of truck.

Wow, that would look nice! That would make a great mod. If anyone decides to do that, definitely post the pics!!!

We do use it more for storage. And our Weimaraner does consider it her room now.

I first saw that on an ad on TV. The guy put new engines in cars and after telling you how much more it cost for a new car then a new engine, he finished the ad with that line

We looked at some large bunkhouse trailers with the intention of removing the bunks. - - - - -Then we found our present trailer and are very happy.

Healthi,

I see you have one of those little aluminum fold-up tables from Walmart too. Aren't those things great? They are so light weight, sturdy, and yet they fold up for easy storage. We also have that Weber BBQ and it has done me well over the years. Recently, we upgraded to a Cuisinart CG-200 though and I simply love how well it controls the cooking.

In pic # 2 you appear to be in deep thought, with wine close at hand. Obviously the forum is on your mind!

Seann, The rain/storm we had for a couple of days is finally gone. Did you get some of that rain there in Slab City or do they pass you by?

The wind was pretty weird on this storm... blowing the flag in many directions.

Glad we went to the cg though. Had five out of seven nice days. Yeah, we had our 'camping fix'. We'll keep our tt
