Forget the termites, at minus 30 degrees below, I'm surprised that people are there. Again, youl all must be hardy, pioneering type folk, while we are desert dwelling, golf course hugging, cream puffs.

Think I'll order a decal for our new TT: Cream Puff Camper . . . honk and wave as you go by.

last time we were in Florida at Christmas time we were very comfortable in shorts and tees....a lot if not most people had coats and you would see the odd person with fur on

Noticed one truck from Texas out in the parking lot with an older couple in it. Windows all up and she was wearing earmuffs...bet the heat was just pumping inside....They likely thought we were nuts.

It really isn't that bad here though..might get a week or two at -30 to sometimes even -40 but generally it is decent..lots of snow which is fun..

I am sure some of the members from Alberta and Sask. would say it can get much colder than -40.

Well, I do like the desert but also when it snow's - to be up early and cut the first tracks - still gives me a thrill.

Yeah, after one of those Haboobs come thru, we draw straws to see who is the first to carve a track thru the dust/sand.

We had our first Haboob about two weeks ago. It is one of those dirt storms like in the dust bowl. It was about 400 feet high and you could see it a mile or two away.

Have you looked at carrying your canoe on your Rav 4's roof? I've seen people doing it. I bet it would work even with the trailer.

That looks like fun and it sure seems easier to tow. Now I understand your comment about the canoe.
