I'm still using the Gillettes, but D***! They're getting expensive!

Learned many years ago that you can virtually double the life of a blade by rubbing it across the end of a cork several times. Has to be a real cork; not an artificial cork . . . and certainly not a screw on cap!

Works kind of like a barber's strop. Cleans off accumulated soap, and buffs out microscopic nicks in the edge(s). Doesn't cut the cost/blade, but the added useful life sure cuts the cost/shave!

Funny the add at the top of the page was for Harrys razors...
I use electric for my face (too ugly to use a blade) but use Shick Hydro 5 on my head..

What, you guys shave when Camping??? Rule for the TT & our Cabin is that Men are not allowed to shave!
I still use Mach3 @ home but I am contemplating either DSC or Harrys. Prices have gotten out of hand for the well known brands.

razors

I've tried both Harry's and Dollar Shave Club. The Harry's felt like my face was burning after I was done shaving. I then used DSC and I'm using the executive razor. It feels great, but it takes some getting used too because it has something like 6 blades, feels kinda big. I have my razors sent every other month because I don't change my blades out as often as they say you should(I'm kinda thrifty that way.)

We also have a rule for our TT (and our relationship in general)...a man who doesn't shave also doesn't get any nookie. Hunting camp is the exact opposite...no ladies, no shaving, no problem.

I've been using the DSC executive razor and 6 blade system for years now after finally getting fed up with the Gillette pricing. I've turned the service on and off a couple of times when I either bought some Dorco refills direct or caught a bulk buy blade deal on eBay. Always easy & I highly recommend the DSC experience to anybody looking to make a switch.

I use an Edwin Jagger safety razor and Personna double edge prep blades, Cella shaving soap, Simpson brush and Floid Blue aftershave.

I spent about $50 for 250 blades a few years ago. I haven't reordered yet. I usually get five good shaves from a blade. Woot!

I've been using Harry's for about a year. I'm very happy with them. Forget the automatic delivery.. Their 'occasional shaver' plan was too many blades for me. I order 8 blades at a time for $15 as I need them.. I shave 2-3 times a week so each blade lasts a month for me.

x2! I could probably count on one hand how many times I've used a razor in my life!
