Well the storm came through as expected. Put on a pretty good show, glad I was all buttoned up.

Crabman made it just fine ....he kinda likes that stuff. I was just sitting with him listening to the last bit of rain and swapping scout stories. Too bad Lee is not here!

Are you camping in TN, or did you go south into GA or ALA?
Looks a bit hilly........
Memphis area I think is kinda flat. Chattanooga area is hilly.....

Here`s one from our trip a week ago to Cape May, NJ. Regrettably the Jayco was not involved, we stayed in a "Hotel room" of all things. (I know that`s like a four letter word here, and I sorely missed the trailer). Here`s the kids on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, an hour and 20 minutes across the Delaware Bay.

This is from my old Scout uniform. That makes it pretty old.

I just wish you guys had a real Blue crab to stand in for me on your travels! I would then feel like I was really there.

Well we have a problem....some may consider it a big problem...others...well who knows....

Anyway - we were in town today. The ladies went to do what ladies do in Hot Springs and the guys and kids went to the gator farm....

Well....now we can't find crabman!

Well I am not worried about me. Gators Luke crabs more than fishies. We dug crystals all day and are dead tires. Giving the kids baths then fire time with friends.

It's nice to me missed lol. We are doing fine! You know it takes a while to get those crabs back from the gators....

We are enjoying our last night out. We left Hot Springs and headed over to Village Creek. Amazing how different the park attendance is. We left a packed area and are now close to be being by ourselves. There are only about 6 other sites occupied.

We had a nice day hiking on the Trail of Tears. Amazing place to take the kids. We also cleaned up some of our crystals.

I am about to get the pie irons out for a little snack as soon as the coals get a little hotter. Headed back home tomorrow to clean up and then will get the camper back on Saturday....

So, how was the first day of crab season? I guess you have to get back in shape (and the swing of things) again.

I think tafische should have named this thread "Ready for my trip with the imitation Crabman" Because there's only one REAL Crabman on this forum.

Put our pots out yesterday, had a decent day today. The water is still a little on the cold side, crabs did not have much life to em yet. 80 degrees here today, that should help. I do have to get back in working trim, gonna need some Advil tonight! -Lee

Hey folks....thanks for playing along....it was a great trip even though we only had our imitation crab. Logged about 74 gallons of gas...(who cares about miles anymore), had great experiences with the kids and tons of fun. Wanted to relax, but I think we did too many activities (that is a good problem!)

Next week long trip isn't until July 4th...four scout campouts until then but will have to sneak in at least one short camper trip....
