RV-relevant "quotes" and "sayings"

I searched but couldn't find any threads on "quotes" or "sayings" relevant to the RV life we enjoy. Thought this might be a thread that could really grow with contributions.

Today on DoItYourselfRV, some Inspirational Sayings:
  • We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us
  • Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer

GOLDEN RULES FOR LIVING
by Miriam Hamilton Keare
If you open it, close it
If you turn it on, turn it off
If you unlock it, lock it up
If you break it, admit it
If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can
If you borrow it, return it
If you value it, take care of it
If you make a mess, clean it up
If you move it, put it back
If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it
If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone
If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions

"Happy wife, happy life."

And the "Golden Rules" posted above are perfect! They weren't taught to me in such a direct and collected fashion like that, but that's the way I was raised! And that's the way I'll raise my boy!

My grandfather's Golden Rule was: "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all". And many companies have a version of that with "Don't Do Anything You Wouldn't Want to See on the Front Page of The New York Times!"

My father told me those Golden Rules just once back in the day, but back in the day you only had to be told once!

What you don't have in your head you need to have in your feet.
Better to let people think your stupid than to open your mouth and prove it.

If you have a trailer to maintain, you don't have time for another hobby.
