RV’s and Motorsports

I have been a race fan of various series’s over the years. I see hundreds and hundreds of RVs of all classes and sizes at these events. I have settled on the IMSA series as my favorite flavor over the last few years. Each season I try to attend as many IMSA races in the season as I can.
That said I’m interested in how many Rv’ers from this forum go to the races and “camp” for the events. What are your tips and lessons learned about this unique use of your RV? What are your favorite venues for motorsports viewing and camping on or off track? What races are you making plans for?

On that note:Anyone going to Sebring in March?
I’ll be there trackside spot between turn 14-15
I’m hoping for better weather then the Rolex 24.
There’s a new addition to the race schedule this year an 8 hour FIA race on Fri starting at 4pm and a night finish after 8 hrs or 1000 miles. The 12 hr race starts Saturday morning at 10:30.

My brother did this and "camped" in a big field with hundreds of others.
No services -no water, sewer, trash, restrooms, power, Nothing but a spot to park.

LOTS of Generators running, no open fires, noisy and busy at all hours.

He liked it, I go to state and National parks myself.

It goes without saying that attending a motor sports event and “camping” on site can’t be equated to real camping out at State or National parks. Rarely see people sitting on top of their RVs watching the buffalo go by.......
That said I have been to “Rv” parks that other then the water/electric are exactly what you experienced at a race track camp. Cramped Side by side and the hum of generators. Imo apples and oranges.
I’m attending 5 IMSA races in the upcoming season. I’m also going to Yellowstone, Custer State Park, Falls Creek Falls TN. The fun of Rving is (imo) the ability to use my Jayco Octane SL 222 in either manner and it “fits” both venues superbly.
I’m curious as too what are the lessons learned and tips those who camp at these events can share.
